Busy

I'm really busy these few days and probably still will be for the days to come. Tests and presentations are coming at me one after another so I didn't have time to update. What's more, I was terribly sick during the last weekend because of food poisoning and I vomitted 3 times a day, thus ending up with no time at all to post. Also, since I'm in the planning committee for the ES FBC this year, it's been eating up some time from me too. So this is just a quick update of my life. Bye. See you after the exams (which is after Friday the 13th).

Meanwhile, I wanted to add screenshots because Youtube decided to give me the opening song of the old animated Spiderman cartoon series instead of the usual ads but apparently I can't even upload any pictures from my computer and I think it's Blogger's fault.

So, I managed to upload pictures. Woohoo.

Pretty sure a spider should have 8 legs though.

How's Life

"How's life?"

What am I supposed to answer? What kind of answer do you expect?

So I went back to AMKSS for the band's POP and played for the recollection band. Sight-reading some of the pieces because they aren't my JBF pieces (they were the batch after mine's). We had a combination of batches because they missed out recollection band during last year's POP which was kinda sad. I wanted to play all of my JBF pieces with my batch mates once again. But nonetheless, I got to replay my part for Freefall and it's so awesome. Nostalgia came back to me.

Anyway, so a lot of people have asked me how I've been and I didn't know what kind of answer I should give them so I just said,
"Amazing."

What kind of answer were you expecting when you asked people that question? Do you want a summary of how my life had been since the last time we saw each other or perhaps you want the details of the major events I've been through ever since then or what? Can you be more specific?

"Hey Rou Shan, how have you been?" "Erm, amazing." "Hahahaha. Okay."

Or maybe you were expecting me to give you a negative answer about how my life have been so that I can complain about it in order to continue on the conversation? In order to not be looked upon as someone who is awkward with me?
Don't be that kind of people guys. If you want to have a long conversation with someone, at least be sincere and honest about it. Not saying the people who asked me weren't sincere though, I was just thinking if this kind of people exists. Maybe I just over-thought it.

Hyperventilate

Hi, I'm sick. Down with flu and sore throat. Sucks to be me.

Anyway, I'll just update on some stuffs.
LyraKlaude said I'm one of her favourite followers. OMG. I'm HYPERVENTILATING. HELP.
Yes, that's me when I saw her ask. Holy.
Anyway, there's five facts about me up there so yeah. I've got nothing much to update to be honest. My eldest sister went to Japan and following that, Taiwan. Bon Voyage! I've asked her to buy me some souvenirs. Hehehehe.

Collapse

Guess what, I fainted today, for the first time. I mean, there are times where I almost fainted but this time I collapsed. It's not a thing to boast about but I just wanted to get it off my chest somewhere. I didn't tell any of my family members about it because I knew that they are just gonna make a big fuss about it and I just really hate attention, so don't mind me! Just some random girl complaining over here. :)

Smooth

I was so bored one day that I decided to drag my lazy feet out of the house and satisfy my wanderlust (kind of). Got myself dressed up and went to NEX to get my cup of smoothie from SmoothieKing after some research. It seems to promote healthy and good smoothies. Also, NEX is somewhere the youngsters would hang out after their school and I was so afraid to bump into any of my sec sch friends I didn't want them to know that I'm wandering about alone. I'm such a failure.
Sighs. Anyway, I got my hand on this smoothie called Angel Fruit (I think). Tastes like a mix of strawberries and bananas, it's pretty good actually. No wonder it's popular. Plus, the cup is made of styrofoam! The smoothie doesn't get warm nor does the cup collect water droplets on the outside. WONDERFUL.
Look at it:
The amount of smoothie there is is also a plus point (more than what Starbucks serve for the same cost). I've been walking around NEX and shopping through CottonOn and UNIQLO while drinking it and guess what, I was only 3/5 through the smoothie. If it was the Green Tea Latte in my hand, it would have been long gone. The amount is shocking. Would definitely go back and try the other flavours! :)

I went back to Northpoint after spending my time at NEX to shop the CottonOn here. I have nothing else better to do, sorry. Anyway, I didn't find anything worthy of my money there so I went to POPULAR to look for Khaled Hosseini books, particularly The Kite Runner. The tumblr users which I follows are highly recommending this particular author and so it got me curious. And they all recommended that starting from his first book would be ideal so as to get use to his writing style. His second book, A Thousand Splendid Suns, has gained much love from the readers, so I can't wait to get my hands on his books. Unfortunately, POPULAR isn't selling The Kite Runner or A Thousand Splendid Suns, but they do have his latest work: And The Mountains Echoed. I didn't get it because I wanna stick to reading his first book. Hence, I went to the library to look for them but to no avail. Instead, I borrowed The Salvation of a Saint by Keigo Higashino, the same author for The Devotion of Suspect X. I loved his books because it's so intriguing, the way he weaves through the crime and all.
Excited.

Another day, my family and I decided to go out for dinner and so we headed to Jack's Place and it sure is packed. Thankfully, we didn't have to wait too long for a table for four. The down side was, there weren't enough waiters so it took a while for them to take our order. Dinner was great nonetheless.
I ordered Grilled Salmon Steak and the salmon was heavenly. Hehehe.
Another waiter came afterwards to pour the condiments onto the baked potato and it tasted so much better.
I wanna enjoy a meal at their place again.

Help

And I'm still considering getting a few more pairs of jeans because my classrooms are air-conditioned so I would be cold if I wore the shorts. What should I do?

Roushan Thing #1

Okay, okay, I'm finally back to blogging. I've been so damn lazy because it's the holidays and my days were just so boring that I didn't even feel like blogging it. -.- Despite the boring days, I try to make an effort to bring something interesting everyday. For example, shopping. Hehehehehe.
So, my package from DressLink arrived a few days ago and it's quite a big parcel.
Well, considering the amount of clothes that my friend and I ordered, this is quite reasonable. Hehe. The clothes were packed nicely into the plastic wraps and were sorted out accordingly inside the parcel. I'm satisfied with the green army coat & bralets & ripped shorts. However, the tank tops, which I thought were supposed to be loose, were actually quite tight-fitting and when I wore it, my tummy shows.
Yes, I'm disappointed, but what can I do when I've already paid for it, right? I guess I just have to lose weight huh. Oh, talking about losing weight, I just lost weight by 3 words. Amazing right? Turns out the weighing scale in my house is spoiled and I've been taking the wrong measurements all along. I worried myself for nothing but I still wanna lose more fats (around my tummy area, thighs and face).
Anyway, back to shopping since I'm such a shopaholic. I've bought about 6 more shirts and 1 pants from sale. 3 of the shirts are 3 for $28 and the other 4 are $10 each (CottonOn was having a sale, I just can't resist). And so, money were spent. The bright side is, I get more shirts to choose from and probably be more fashionable. Also, I'm planning to get a part-time job to earn back those money and pay off fees at the same time. Okay, I'm all motivated to work now! Yosh!

Next, I've finished the Castle crystal puzzle my sister gave me for my birthday present! Here are the pictures:
This is the body of the castle which I had a hard time building because the pieces doesn't fit so perfectly.
The body of the castle + 4 side towers
The body of the castle + 4 side towers + the main tower
The completed version with the flags added to it! :)
And I complete this within one night, I feel a strong sense of achievement. Muahaha. I should get more crystal puzzles because I had so much fun building them.

Moving on, although I've been drinking lots of iced green tea latte lately,
And these two cups of green tea lattes are from different times. Gosh.
I've also been drinking healthy fruit juices!

And I've also bought apples to eat when I hungry, this is to help me stop eating snacks whenever I'm craving for some. :) I think this is also sort of an accomplishment? I don't know, just felt like showing this part of me off. You're free to ignore me. Hahaa.

This Dorayaki from Four Leaves tastes so delicious and it really gives off the Doraemon feel.
And this piece of cake from McCafe (I have no idea what it's called but my mum said they're not for sale anymore) tastes real good too! The brown part tastes like matcha green tea to me, and I like matcha green tea so it works wonders to me. Hehehe.

Look at my perfectly bun-ed hair:
I'm so proud of myself because of this.

Guilty Pleasure

It's been a week already huh. Why does time flies so quickly yet passes so slowly when I feel like I've got all of the time in the world. I think it's probably time management issues, I should consult a specialist. Hahahah.

So, just some quick updates,
Here are some of my new obsessions:

  1. Iced Green Tea Latte from Starbucks. I fell for it the moment I tasted it, it's practically love at first sip. The first time I tried it was when we were having a field trip to the National Museum and my friend bought this drink. He gladly let me try it and I never wanna get anything else other than Iced Green Tea Latte from Starbucks anymore. Yes, it's that good, I'm not even kidding. I'm serious! (Hah, I told them my name is Roy. *Evil Laughter* That surprised look on their faces when they heard me say a boy's name is what I seek when I buy drinks from Starbucks.)
  2. 3 Days Grace. It's a rock band and I hate the fact that I just discovered them. Their songs are really good and that one song that made me listen to them this entire week was Animal followed by Pain. Both of them are really catchy and I just love the tune/melody.
  3. Shopping. I think I'm gradually becoming a shopaholic. I've bought a dark denim jacket from CottonOn, a white-and-blue plaid jacket from UniQlo, 7 shirts from CottonOn (because they are on sale and it's super cheap), a star-design chiffon sleeveless shirt from H&M, a pair of shorts from CottonOn, a pair of leggings from UniQlo. And I'm not done yet, from DressLink (a super cheap online shop), I got 2 tank tops, 3 bralets, a pair of ripped denim shorts, a pair of leggings again, a baseball-design shirt and finally, a green army jacket. Holy crap. Someone please stop me. Send help please.
I think that's it for my obsessions. 3 is more than enough. Now, let me update you on some probably insignificant to you but I hope you'll read them but it's okay if you don't stuffs.
So, firstly, I'm gonna celebrate my birthday and my friends' one later on. There's just one thing, she decided to surprise me later by inviting some of our friends to join us but what she doesn't know is that I have found out about her surprise and I'm gonna surprise her back with cakes and presents. Hohoho. I'm so excited to see her reaction now. Here's a photo of the birthday present I bought her, it's super duper ultra adorable.

And to top it off, it's mega soft and nice to touch. I hope she'll like it, although it's really cliche to give soft toys as presents. Well, at least it's cute, right?

Next, I'm currently addicted to Tumblr, and that's why I haven't been updating as often. I'm sorry. Since I'm already at it, I might as well promote myself. Please follow me @rourooooou. Heheheh. Tumblr is such an amazing place to be, I'm digging it.

Smitten

This should be a post with some pictures because it's currently late at night and I'm too lazy to type/write so much.
So this is what I'm up to past 2 days and I'm still gonna work on other art tomorrow (specifically Singapore's trademarks/icons eg. Merlion). But first, please take a moment to look at my masterpiece and appreciate it. It's not that bad right. At first, I imagined it to be worse because I couldn't really draw well but it turns out way better than I imagined. Just that the colouring is so good. However, I still think that it's presentable and I'm gonna stick to that. :)

Doesn't this look like yum? Hehehe.

And look, I've finally managed to tie a decent hair bun. I feel so proud of myself.

I don't know if you can see the tags or not so I'm just gonna type them out (partially because I wanna type them out too. Hehehe):
#rourooou i just discovered your tags #you people need to let me know you're tagging tln or yuki's fashion cause i can't if you don't #anyway i will be checking your tags more often now #and the couture you're reblogging are HOT #beastie couture
Okay okay, I'm gonna explode when I saw realise that Lyra, the author of the amazing fan fiction The Lost Night, has liked and reblogged and FOLLOWED me on tumblr. How amazing is that!
It's exactly the same feeling as your idol following you back on Instagram. Yes, it's that amazing. I was blushing so much at that time that my cheeks went hot, literally, kid you not. Oh my, I'm so starstruck right now. So many good things has happened to me recently that I'm scared I'll face bad things later on. I don't wish to see a storm after this. But anyway, KiGaMin is also another super duper lovely writer + tumblr user. She even thanked me for following and categorizing her fanfic, Mirror, under favourites. How sweet is that. Awww. I'm so glad I got to know such awesome and sweet and lovely people. I'm so blessed. :') Tumblr is such a wonderful place to be.

I actually took some more selfies but I'm not gonna display it here because I'm still shy. Sorry guys.
And that's all for this post. I don't really take a lot of pictures, you should know that by now. All my previous posts have either gifs or just pictures from tumblr. Oops.
