Poly 1.1.09

Monday:
So, it's officially June's term break today! YAY! But, even though it's holiday time, I don't exactly feel the holiday mood. Maybe it's because there's lesser hang-outs with friends or rather none, since I'm still not very close to the my course peeps and I'm not in any cliques. There's a reason to it though. It's because I prefer to be free rather than sticking to one clique, I like to move around instead of being restricted to a certain group of people. BUT if the clique is not restricting, I'm more than happy to be in it! There's always the exception, right? :) I hope I find this group of wonderful people soon.
Anyway, today's pretty boring because I stayed at home all day long. No meet-ups or anything. I know I know, I'm an unpopular person. Sigh.
As usual, I slept my afternoon away and woke up with a bad mood.
-Mood Swings- (I wanted to put a gif here but tumblr isn't working right now.)
After some reflection on myself, I've decided that I cannot let my holidays just passed like this without doing anything. So, I've taken the initiative to ask Shu Fei out for a movie! YAY! And she can make it! So, we're going for a movie + study date. Teehee. But, actually what's there to study? She initiated that she wanna study Eltech but I seriously think there's not much to do except to wait for the teacher to teach the following chapter. Sure, we can learn ahead of the class and be more prepared but it's the holidays yo. Have a break, take a KitKat. Hahaha. But, all well, I'm her friend and I will not leave her alone so, Eltech here we come! :)
Oh, and I've got the sudden urge to do the instant cupcake thing since it's been there for like ages (actually, it's since my sister's taiwan trip) and I keep procrastinating to do it. So, I finally did it at almost midnight. Hahahah.
Harry' Kitchen Instant Cupcake! :)
Look at the results:
Cupcake which is fresh from the oven. I've already took a few bites though.
And then I decided to add some semi-sweet hershey choco chips.
Since the cupcake is hot and fresh from the microwave oven, the choco chips melted. However, the choco chips didn't go really well with the cupcake, so I added nutella instead. And in the end, nutella doesn't go well with the cupcake either. So, in conclusion, cupcakes only go well with icing and other pretty stuffs. Anyway, that's all for monday!

Tuesday:
I have something to show you guys.
Do you guys think I look fat? I don't look that fat in this picture but actually I'm pretty fat in real life. I mean, when I look into the mirror, I certainly look like an ordinary and average girl. But when I take selfies with my friends or when people take pictures of us, I look fat. Seriously. Why does the picture always turns out to be so different from my own image in the mirror? And one more thing. My cheeks are naturally rosy, okay. I didn't put on blusher or anything. My friends, even till today, stills ask me whether did I put on blusher. Well, the picture above does shows that my cheeks, or rather my entire face, is really red but that's because my skin is super thin and thus resulting in that rosy colour. So, when I blush, it would be super obvious and I can't hide it. That's one of the cons. And the pros would probably be that I can save on the money spent on blushers. Hehehe. And when I laughed really hard or after I ran, my cheeks would be flushed red. [Just a fun fact about myself]
Today, I went to meet Shu Fei for breakfast but I had totally forgotten about it and I had already ate my breakfast before meeting her. Oops, sorry! Anyway, after she took her breakfast @ ToastBox, we went to the library to study. Can you believe it? We're studying during the holidays and I'm not kidding. We actually did some of the exercises from our Eltech lecture notes, although we slacked most of the times, I must say, it was pretty productive for kids enjoying the holidays. Hahaha. We then went to search for an orange tee because I need one for my 3D2N camp tmr but I didn't manage to find any to my liking. So I'm gonna borrow from her's tmr. Then we met up with Jie Hui and Brandon to have lunch @ Mac before watching How to Train your Dragon 2.
AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!
If you haven't watched it yet, you should go and book your tickets now (like this very instant) and catch it tmr or sometime soon!
All of us said that it's really good, okay, so it must be good.
After the movie, the three of us except Brandon had something on after this and I had to rush off for my sec 4 class chalet, so I went off first. It's been a while since I last saw my sec 4 classmates. And as expected, there's not much people who went for the chalet on the first day, probably because there's nothing much to do and the BBQ's on the second day. Had some catching up with the ones who're there and I was shocked to know that Chit Wan is currently in the same school as me and Shi Xuan went to Singapore Poly. I have never met Chit Wan in the school before and I seriously thought Shi Xuan would go a JC.
WOW. I am speechless.
But, anyway, it was getting really boring and we decided to play some card games. And it's pretty fun, and funny too. I'm glad we're not that awkward together. Teehee. And we took a quick power nap before going down dinner. Shuai Hua prepared Curry chicken and it's quite good, still edible. Hahaha. And that's pretty much it, we spent the rest of the night staring at the terebi. I went home after that because I have a camp tmr and I haven't even packed my bag yet.

Wednesday:
So NPSC (Ngee Ann Shooting Club) camp started at 2pm and I was the first one to reach in my group. Well, I was the only girl at first because the second girl is only gonna come at 8:30pm as she has Aikido which she needs to go to. So I was the lone girl for the the first 6 hours. Anyway, we did this strings-on one-marker-and-draw-pictures game where each of us will hold onto one string each and draw a gun and a target. But we cheated a little. Hamizan and Jun Qiang went on and hold the marker directly to draw when the judges weren't looking. Hahahaha.
Then we had to build a tower, which will eventually be taller than the other group, made up of a piece of small cardboard, ice cream sticks, an empty plastic bottle and straws. We won!
Oh, and we also played table soccer, except that the actual players are us.
After that, we played charades but the rest of the group has to complete the challenge whereby the game masters will decide how many hands and legs are to be placed on the floor. Thank god I was the one acting out the charades because the challenge seem difficult.
We had our dinner and more games after that, such as shooting down empty drink packages using rubber bands (I suck at this), building a tower using tiny pellets (this requires a really steady hand) and I can't remember what's the other games. Whoops.
Anyway, I bunked with Celine in the master bedroom and she's a really happy-go-lucky kind of girl, she's really cute too. Hehehe. The other girls are really sociable too. I remember JJ, Xing Rou, Geraldine, Hui Ting and there's this other girl who isn't very sociable, she's a year 2. Anyway, that's pretty much it for Day 1.
Oh wait, there's this game:
We were split into two groups and we need to cross from one side to another according to the numbers placed on the floor. At the same time, we have to pass a certain message from the first person to the last person without using any words, so pure actions. And guess what, the message given were lollipop, slurpee, ice cream. Just imagine the actions that we need to do for them. ;) Anyway,
This is the shooting game. It's not our group though. But look at those drink packages! ALL DOWN EXCEPT FOR ONE. They're good man. I can't even shoot down one.
Well, fortunately this has nothing to do with the actual shooting training. :)

Thursday:
Day 2 of the camp. We had breakfast and then we had some mass games. The first one was front-front-back-back-left-left-right-right-scissors-paper-stone game where we we have to challenge someone to a scissors paper stone game and the loser will follow behind the winner. And it keeps going on until there's only one winner and he is Benjamin from our group.
Guess what the prize was. He had to do gwiyomi with the first runner up and they are both from our group. And out of the blue, they had this ingenious idea to sabo our group to do gwiyomi together. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. And so we did.
Anyway, the second one was captain's ball with frisbee and you know, I'm not a sporty person so I didn't participate much during this game. Sorry.
Here are the pictures:

And this picture shows that the crew are rolling on the field after our game. Hahaha.
The third was dodge ball but we had already used up most of our energy during the previous game. So it turns out kind of sloppy. Sin Hao somehow managed to be the last man standing for the second part of this activity and he had to fight against three other people from the other group and somehow he survived till the end even though he didn't put in much effort at all.
After dodge ball, we went back to loft to change into our wet attire for WET GAMES! I was not really interested in playing wet games because I didn't like having to end up all wet and dirty. It's would be so troublesome. But this is different. We're playing wet games under the scotching sun and some water would be awesome. And the wet games are entertaining too!
First was a checkers-like game where we are the playing objects and game masters would just randomly pour water on people. And they poured it into my shirt. Great. Hahahha. The second game was volleyball concept but we played it with water bombs instead, and even though we had a headstart because they arrived so late, we still lost to them. Hahahhaa. The third game was Dog-and-Bone + Attack-Katniss. We have to try to take as many water bomb bags as possible during dog-and-bone because we're gonna use it for attack-katniss. And for a-k, they decided to wrap me up as Katniss and the other group had to use the water bombs they filled to destroy the newspaper outfit which I was being wrapped with. And I have to avoid as many as possible so that the outfit doesn't fall off. However, the other group has A LOT of water bombs and I was as good as drenched after the game. So were the two GLs who protected me. Aww, thanks! And the fourth game was captain's ball (yes, again) but with a sponge. :)
Listening very tentatively to the instructions of the first game.

And there's me standing there peacefully when suddenly,
this happens.

And this is the second game (not our group though).
The third game:
Dog-and-Boneeeeee.
The other group's Katniss.

Attacking the Katniss from the other group. Teehee.
Finally, the forth game:
After the wet games and some quick washing up, we are off to have dinner and ice breaker games + other games + night walk. :] We did the pocky game which were meant for couples with our own group first. Then we were split up and mixed around to do the pocky game again.

After the somewhat tiring ice breaker games, we had some 'interesting' games. I'll just show you guys the pictures. A picture speak a thousand words, right?

So, the point of this game is to try to take the opponents' 'tail' while protecting yours and you can only crawl throughout the entire game. Meow~
After that, we went to another game station which involves crawling too but this time, we had to entire a maze under the tables and the room is pitch dark. The only light source was some light sticks. And for the last one, we have THE NIGHT WALK
But I was really excited for it because this is gonna be my first night walk by students. I had my very first night walk during my sec three camp inside the Bukit Timah Hill, it's not scary but it was really dark and the there's no light source anywhere except for the moonlight. But when we reach the peak, we got to lie down on the grassland and enjoy the magnificent view of the stars above. I really enjoyed it. Anyway, we split up again and my group of 4 was the last to go in. While the second group was doing their night walk, a bunch of guys suddenly came down the stairs and informed us that SDAR are doing their checks now. Turns out the guys are from the inline skating club and they are doing their night walk upstairs too. How nice of them to share the tip off with us. And so, the GLs and crew panicked a little and shared the tip off with the remaining crews and they quickened the pace of the night walk. My group entered shortly after but we were only able to enjoy half of it and then we had to rush off to the loft.
That disappointment. Do you feel me?
Anyway, here's one picture:
Actually, I was excited and scared at the same time for this night walk. Hehehe.

Friday:
The last day of camp. During breakfast we played Werewolf (but instead of the actual cards, we used poker cards) and it's a really interesting game. It's originally a board game, you guys should check it out.
And after breakfast, we did our cheers and then there's this activity where we'll write on people's back (there's paper being stuck to our backs during breakfast). It's actually a really fun activity! :}

And finally, PHOTO TAKING SESSION.

And with that, we broke camp!~
Our group decided to have lunch @ PizzaHut, so we hung out at the board games corner in the library while waiting for the GLs to finish their meeting. :)
It was a GREAT camp. ;)
